Kenya AA – Special Dark Roast
Kenya is widely regarded to produce some of the world’s best coffee beans and AA is the highest grade of Kenya coffee based on bean size and freedom from physical imperfections.
Kenyan coffees are grown at high altitudes which causes them to grow slower, allowing more time to mature and develop their flavors. The harvested coffee beans are then passed through sieves and only the largest beans are collected and graded as AA.
Whoever said that size doesn’t matter, lied.
The large and dense Kenya AA beans results in coffee with a full body, rich flavor and a very pleasant acidity.
This dark-roasted version of Kenya AA is specially crafted by Mimosa Coffee for our March 2019 Tasting Challenge to illustrate how different roast level affects the taste of coffee.
