Sharing a border with Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar, Yunnan is a huge province in south-central China with a land area that is 1.2 times the size of Malaysia in comparison. Yunnan has a favorable mountainous geography, fertile soil and temperate climate that is perfect for growing coffee.
While more famous for producing the Pu’er fermented teas, Yunnan is rapidly increasing in significance as an emerging coffee producer. Producing 95% of China’s coffee, this single province effectively placed the country as the 14th-largest producer in the world, outranking traditional coffee countries like Costa Rica and Kenya.
This particular batch crafted by Mimosa Coffee has a tea-like body with hints of dried dates and a brown sugar aftertaste.
