Ecuador Finca Lugmapata
Finca Lugmapata is owned by the Merino family. The family has been growing coffee here for more than 100 years. Enrique Merino is now the third generation owner of the farm and is producing ever increasing quality coffees.
It is particularly worth mentioning that in 2018, Finca Lugmapata won the first place in the 2018 Taza Dorada (Golden Cup) in Ecuador. Award winning coffee just doesn’t happen overnight. It takes a serious amount of time, passion, dedication, great husbandry and processing methods.
Combine that with the Merino’s family strict picking procedures, meticulous processing, and precise drying methods and, you have a recipe for award winning coffee.
This particular roast crafted by Reframe Coffee Roasters is an excellent representation of the natural sweetness and medium acidity of Ecuadorian coffee with notes of plums and milk chocolate.
Overall, it is a very balanced and satisfying coffee that works well for both espresso and filters.
